Wyke Wanderers - 1 --- Vision U11 - 4

Match Report Submitted By Mark Bentham
The local derby ended in a comfortable victory for Vision despite a few unsure moments in the first half.
Vision has most of the pressure in the first half but found it difficult to penetrate the massed Wyke defence – there were few chances apart from one mass scramble in which Vision hit the bar,
Wyke relied solely on the pace of ex Vision player Michael Brooksbank for their attacks and he forced a couple of good saves from Leon Thompson in goal. The deadlock was finally broken by a short range volley by James Dennison from a looping far post cross from Tom Bentham. However Wyke replied within five minutes with a breakaway goal from Michael Brooksbank, It looked as if it would be all even at half time , but Vision were awarded a penalty for shirt pulling which Callum Dochertey duly converted .

The second half was a one sided affair with Wyke, playing against the wind barely able to get out of their half.
Man of the Match Danny Patchett was able to nullify the threat of Michael Brooksbank, and goals came for Vision from James Dennison (who had another storming game upfront tormenting the Wyke defence) and James Morris.
Vision even had the luxury of seeing a penalty saved by the Wyke keeper to keep the score at 4-1

All in all a good display with the defence beginning to work as a unit
