Vision Juniors U/10 won their age group at Ossett Towns annual 7 a-side summer football Gala with every boy putting in a superb effort on a glorious summers day!

The youngsters topped their group of 8 teams convincingly, 5 points clear of closest rivals. The team played some outstanding football and the whole event was a real advertisement for junior football.

After topping their group Vision faced a semi-final clash with home team Ossett Town A which Vision won 2-0.

In the final their opponents were Staleybridge Celtic from Manchester and Vision piled on the pressure from the off and were rewarded with the 1st goal in the 1st half. Their opponents battled hard to even up the scores but found Vision as effective in defence as they were formidable on the attack and when Vision scored a 2nd in the 2nd half, this sealed the victory and saw the Vision youngsters worthy tournament winners.

The Vision team was Luke Foster, Callum Fletcher, Ellis Barraclough, Bailey Collington, Alex Gradey, Tyron Sagar, Elliott Hinchliffe and Dylan Matejak. Scorers on the day were Hinchliffe (4) and a fantastic 13 for Sagar.
