Vision Juniors today played Gomersal & Cleckheaton, having played each other last season in a nail biting cup game in which Vision just got the upper hand in extra time another tough game was expected today. With a new formation Vision looked very comfortable early on passing the ball around. Ellis Barraclough is a new role of central midfield showed his strength & determination winning most of the early aerial battles. Tyron Sagar ran at the Gomersal defence & pushed through into box only to be clipped from behind and brought down giving Vision an early opportunity to go ahead. Tyron stepped forward & smashed to ball past the keeper making the score 1-0. Gomersal looked to get straight back into the game but Vision defenders Alex Grady, Callum Fletcher & Caius Lee showed there coolness and blocked out attacks. Vision pressed forward down the wing which led to a corner. Bailey Collington & Adam Norman took a quick short corner, which allowed Adam Norman to perfectly loop the ball over the Gomersal defenders & keeper into the top corner of the net. Half time saw the score 2-0. No sooner had the second half kicked off & Vision were guilty of allowing Gomersal too much time on the ball. Gomersal smashed the ball into the back of the Vision net. A quick long goal kick from Luke Foster went straight over the heads of most players, Adam Norman collected the ball, played a clever pass to Kieran Couslan who put the ball beyond the Gomersal goal keeper. Gomersal once again fought back & scored again from a well worked ball down the wing. Dylan Matejak was the quickest to react to a blocked shock and put the game to bed with another vision goal. A very good performance from Vision Juniors Man of the Match went to Dylan Matejak
