Vision U12-4 ---Westend U13 -7
Report Submitted by Mark Bentham

Vision succumbed to their first loss of the season with a below par display at Huddersfield based Westend. Vision found themselves two nil down after the first five minutes with the Westend strikers catching the Vision defence cold with some fast paced attacks that were finished clinically .Overall Westend looked a far better team going forward than at the back .Vision eventually steadied the ship and got back into the match with a close range shot from Tom Bentham. There was than an exchange of goals before half time with James Morris scoring twice with some neat footwork ,but Westend added two more themselves . With the half time score at 3-4 it still felt that Vision could get a result.

The second half proved a let down as Vision rarely put the Westend goal under any pressure and Vision were never able to deal with the Westend Captain who physically and metaphorically stood head and shoulders above any of the Vision players- controlling midfield and releasing the Westend strikers at will .After a few desperate goal mouth scrambles Westend added a fifth.New comer Bradley Oares kept Vision in the hunt converting from close range a James Dennison cross.Hower two more goals were added against an increasingly dispirited Vision side.

Overall a poor performance which saw too many players below par while the team spirit was not at its best.
