Vision juniors today played Lepton a team who they had a narrow victory over last season in the cup. The first few minutes saw both Vision & Lepton battle for the ball in the middle of the field to try gain an early advantage. Both Alex Gradey & Linley Gentles played some good football in the centre of the pitch nullifying the Lepton midfield players. A couple of nice passes in the middle of the pitch allowed Tyron Sagar to put the ball beyond the Lepton keeper to make the score 1-0 after 10 minutes of play. Following some good pressing football from the Vision players & several corners a Lepton player handled the ball in the area giving Vision a penalty opportunity. Tyron Sager smashed the ball into the back of the net. 2-0 Another well worked short corner between Bailey Collington & Adam Norman opened up the Lepton defence allowing Adam to unleash a cracking shot that beat both the Lepton defence & keeper. Along corner & a goal mouth scramble saw the ball come out to the edge of the area where Callum Fletcher was waiting, he calmly took his shot & placed the ball into the top right of the goal. Vision continued to press forcing several corners, Ellis Barraclough came close to finding the net but Leptons defence did a good job of blocking his shot. Kieran Coulsan added to Visions goal tally with a nice goal in a crowded area. Tyron Sagar made another great run down the right side of the pitch weaving in & out of the Lepton players, once again in the box he calmly put the ball past the Lepton keeper. A much better second half team performance from Vision saw the score finish 7-0. Man of the match went to Tyron Sagar. |
