Today saw Vision U11’s play their first 11 aside match in the new season, away against Dalton. After such a close season last year, Vision was looking to get a good start once again. Tyron Sagar ran at the defence causing them problems, several twists and turns allowed him to make space for himself and get a shot off that found its way through a packed area to the back of the net giving Vision a 1-0 lead. Vision midfield of Bailey, Adam, Linley and Alex controlled most of the mid-field action but occasionally caused themselves problems by taking too long to pass the ball. A great pass from Kieran to Elliott gave Elliott the chance to take on the defence which he beat making the score 2-0. Dalton continued to press down the wings but both Adam and Bailey showed ability to deal with these with well timed tackles. Elliott was once again found the net 3-0. Dalton battled away and scored their 1st goal as Vision took too long on the ball. Dalton scored again to make the score 3-2 and looked to be gaining some good momentum testing Visions defence of Ellis, Callum and Caius. A couple of goal mouth scrambles and some good goal keeping from Luke kept Dalton at bay. A good clearance and and well worked ball gave Elliott a chance to show his pace again as he went through for a one on one with the keeper and coolly slotted the ball under the Dalton keeper to make the score 4-2. Both Dylan and Connor came on and Kieran almost added to the Vision score late on only for his shot just to go over the crossbar. Man of the match went to Bailey for his non stop running & determination to win back any lost balls. Both teams battled well with some good end to end football. An enjoyable match. For a 1st match at 11 aside the team performed well overall. Tyron Sagar gets a special mention for his bravery and determination to play and support his team today. |
